岩手は長く鋳物文化が息づいている地で、江戸時代には茶の湯文化とともに南部鉄器が発展した場所です。受け継がれてきた伝統技法は、今もなお職人たちの手によって守られています。
本体験では、南部鉄瓶の源流に触れながら、十一代釜師の指導のもと名入れ鉄瓶づくりに挑戦。素材の質感や鋳物ならではの重みを感じつつ、世界にひとつだけのオリジナル南部鉄器を丁寧に仕上げていきます。ものづくりの奥深さに触れる特別なひとときを、心ゆくまでお楽しみください。

Azuma Farm Koiwaiからハイヤーにて移動し、ガイドが同行します。最初に訪れるのは、盛岡城跡公園内のもりおか歴史文化館や桜山時鐘で、盛岡の歴史や文化を学びます。
13:30頃から、盛岡市大沢川原の賢治清水にて、南部鉄器にまつわる解説を聞きながら盛岡の水を汲む体験を行います。その後、御釜屋での南部鉄器体験に移ります。ここでは、南部藩御用釜師で、創業1659年（万治2年）の小泉仁左衛門の指導のもと、以下の工程を体験できます。
・南部鉄器の製作工程や歴史についての説明
・鉄瓶で水を沸かす体験（白湯）
・工程の見学
・名入れなどオリジナルマークの型押しによる制作体験
